Dear Mill Creek Families,

I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday break and were able to enjoy time with your families near and far.  Back in December, I sat down and thought about what to write in the first PTA newsletter of 2012.  Here it goes…..
 
The school year is not over yet and we still have lots of events to host.  We need volunteers to help with these upcoming happenings at the school, for the school.  Your help ensures the success of each and every one of them.  We have two particular functions that will require lots of volunteer assistance; the MCE Golf Tournament, and the MCE Basket and Arts Event.  Please email me if you are interested in getting involved.  Also, please let me know if you are able to bake, make signs, decorate, make soups or do ANYTHING!  WE NEED YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT!  Last year the PTA appropriated over $20,000 to MCE.  This year, I would like to see that and more.  The money raised goes to enhancements for the school, our teachers and our kids.  So let's make 2012 the best year ever at MCE!  You can email me and I will get back you.
 
There is a very important message at the end of this newsletter for families that will affect families continuing at Mill Creek for the 2012-2013 year.  Be sure to read it.
 
To end, I would like say thank you to everyone I see at the school and in the community.  To me, thank you is a powerful word.  It shows people you really appreciate what they do for you, your school, your family, and your community.  Saying thank you also encourages people and lets them know they are doing a good job. So, thank you to everyone who has supported Mill Creek Elementary and the PTA this year. 
 
Thanks so much and we can’t wait to make a difference in 2012 for our students, faculty, and staff at Mill Creek Elementary! I am super excited, as always!!!!!!  LET’S GO MCE MUSTANG FAMILIES!!!!!
